On Depression, Elation & Lethargy…

Do you ride emotional roller-coasters?  Are you longing for peace, tranquility, and a constant level of happiness?  Do you berate yourself for your inability to climb out of depression at will?  Do you flog yourself for not being a shining example of spiritual guru-ism?  No?  Perhaps it’s just me.  Then never mind.
I've thought long and hard on this topic and realized a few things.
1)  The moon has a huge effect on our emotional body (ask any teacher, fireman, police officer or nurse).  Silvia is the www.mooncoach.com.  I've picked up a few things along the way.  The various phases of the moon exert powerful energies on all of us.  So, relax!  It'll change in a day or 2.
 2)  The more sensitive and empathic we are, the more susceptible we are to external energies.  Every single person (over 3.5 BILLION) is a transmitter of thoughts & emotions.  You know the various studies such as the one where 7000 people all concentrating on reducing worldwide violence did so to an astonishing degree?  Well, this indicates that collective consciousness is a potent force. (See Lynne McTaggart’s work).  Perhaps what you're feeling isn't really yours?
3)  Most of us are carrying around several heavy weights.
  • Past life karma.  Many gurus say that we're at the end of a karmic cycle, so we're burning off a lot quickly.  Relish the pain!  The fastest and surest way to release pain is to go straight through it with gusto!
  • Genetic karma.  Many of us are dealing with clearing the sins of our mothers and fathers.  For example, my parents are German and one of my grandfathers was a Nazi officer (against his will, while married to a Jew).  While he (fortunately) was not directly involved in the many atrocities, and died early in WWII, I was carrying around a great guilt over the Nazi cancer.  When I did forgiveness and releasing ceremonies about this issue, a HUGE weight was lifted from my shoulders.  Try it!
  • Gender karma.  We’ve lived in a patriarchal society for several thousand years.  Men have perpetrated an astoundingly HUGE accumulation of crimes against women and children, and still do!  I’m guessing that just about every man in society is carrying a portion of that accumulated burden of guilt.  Women too have their share of guilt.  When I did forgiveness and releasing ceremonies about this issue, another HUGE weight was lifted from my shoulders.  Try it!
Does this make us victims?  NO!  We have individual responsibility for every aspect of our life.  But, seeing that many of these depressing energies originate from elsewhere allows us to defend ourselves and do our PORTION OF clearing work more gracefully.
So how can we defend ourselves?
  • 1.       Realize that some is ours and much isn’t.
  • 2.       Create an energetic barrier.  It’s very easy to do.  Just visualize some sort of energy barrier that you can visualize instantly at anytime, anywhere.  Please do it now.  Mine is an electrically-charged Bucky-ball.  It looks a bit like this.   It works like one of those electrical bug-zappers.  Whenever I catch myself feeling imposed upon, I pop my Bucky-ball up around me.  I can see & hear through it, but it zaps anything on contact that is not 100% of the light.  It’s my powerful psychic/empathic protection.
  • 3.       Feel the feelings fully, accept them as valid.  Realize that you’re CHOOSING to hold onto them for now, and that’s ok.  Realize that you can release them whenever you choose.
  • 4.       Meditate daily!  There is no substitute.  (See my previous blogs).
  • 5.      Listen to happy music!  Dance.  Sing.  Jump around.  Let you inner child loose!
  • 6.      Gratitude = Happiness.  Finding things to appreciate is SO easy and incredibly powerful.
“Don’t worry, be happy!”
